Our founder
Ahmed El Hamawy is the founder and CEO of EquiTie. He founded the firm in 2019 after a career in corporate finance and investment banking at KPMG and QNB Capital, working across mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and strategic advisory.
At EquiTie, Ahmed focuses on private technology companies and the infrastructure behind them, from artificial intelligence and robotics to computing, energy and aerospace. His work combines company research with close attention to entry price, investment structure and the opportunities for eventual liquidity. EquiTie brings this approach to a global community of investors who choose their investments one deal at a time.
Ahmed is a CFA charterholder and Oxford Scholar, and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford.
